We recommend a few simple rules to follow in order for you to get a better tasting espresso drink.
Our recommendation
1) Always let the coffee rest for at least 2 weeks before you start brewing. Coffee needs to degas and this will help the coffee extraction to be more consistent. This are just recommendation on how we brew at our bar!
2) We recommend a water temperature of 95 degree with a setting of 9 bar across all our coffee.
3) Always measure everything. e.g. The amount of coffee dose in your portafilter, the weight of the coffee that is being extracted and the time taken to extract the coffee from start to finish.
4) We usually recommend following the coffee golden ration of 1:2 at a 25-30seconds and adjust accordingly. As every individual taste preference is different. This is just an indication and we can always adjust accordingly to our taste preference.
5) It is always important to keep your equipment clean as it will affect the final taste of the cup!
